wooooohooooo!!! am now one happy and proud owner of me own 1973 bay window kombi van. it has a pop top fitted, one dodgy cupboard inside, no rear
seats or transmission and a busted 2L engine. it does have though a cool breaking wave mural over the side panels and a bit of rust at the botom of
the nose panel, outer front wheel arch and in the drivers footwell. will be hitting ya'll up for parts a little bit down the track when i get into
fixing it!!! pics will be sent once i get it home!!:bounce:bounce:bounce:bounce
Good on ya! I've got a 74, and love it.
Bus on,
Aurel
"go the bays" ive got a 77 just getting sprayed cant wait to get her back
Great too see another satisfied vw driver.
My daily driver is a 73 Camper, the only thing to watch for is the linkage on the accelerator pedal is prone to wear. This will result in the pedal
developing side ways movement and the lugs holding it doen caan snap off. I fixed this by mig welding both sides of the lugs to prode extra support to
the pedal.
I will be converting it to a later linkage which has a muc h smoother feel to it.
Happy crusin and don't forget to give us all a wave!
