My 1960 K/G. 36hp eng & trans replaced by 1600tp & 1500 trans. Used often esp on trips- nearly always gets about 12km/litre. Vicroads re-issued its orig no.plate.

This one left the factory on the 19th May 1943 & was issued to the Waffen-SS at Oranienburg (now a northern suburb of Berlin)

Even in the presence of the above 2 heavyweights, this is my fav. vehicle. It was a rusty but gen 1 owner when I got it. I was told it may have been a "bastard 40hp" but I'm pretty sure it's orig a 36hp. Currently a 1600SP (with an upjetted 28pci so I can have a manual choke) with a 40hp trans. Drives very sweetly.

Nice fleet geodon. Who would have thought there was a Kubel as close as Geelong.
Love to see it on a Cruise one day. That would be a traffic stopper. :bounce

Yes that's a rotisserie- still not connected- the physics gets a bit complicated when it's half a ton of metal rotating. We've lived on a small acreage since 1980 as a result of having 3 daughters with equestrian leanings. That means plenty of shed space! Geelong is blessed with VW's-when I sold my schwimmer, it only moved up the road a bit!
I tend to trailer the kubel. It's very slow-think 36hp kombi- & causes quite a stir. Now I have more time, I intend to use it around the Otway trails.Nothing strenuous, just dribbling arond with the windscreen flat.

This is such a common problem

Col told me about MS Image Resizer

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Right click on image and you'll see an option to resize. It has helped with a couple of my images but not with all?

geodon - December 22nd, 2002 at 08:31 PM

I have "dumbed down" the images by re-taking them at the lowest setting on my camera for "fineness" to get them down to around 50KB.

KruizinKombi - December 24th, 2002 at 07:24 PM

Jen, go to the custom settings and change them down to 500x375 or smaller even. :)
