I have a mostly 72 S beetle and a 74 kombi camper

My kombi is capable of a max speed of about 10km/h depending on terrain and how many people are pushing. A bit slower with the engine in it.

My beetle goes quite well if you ignore the wrecked clutch. Needs to be started in gear and rev matched to change. Also it needs to be hotwired because the ignition barrel broke somehow.

Aren't they great cars. Sigh. Always repairs needing to be done.

mmm..Just took the beetle out of cryostasis today. Or took the tarp off. Now to get it started....

The van's still not going anywhere...anyone got a spare piston and head? check between the cushions on the lounge if you're not sure. everything seems to end up there....except the keys for the beetle. Haven't seen them in months. Crud.

beetle runs like i only started it yesterday, rather than half a year ago. gotta love that.. Now to point the kombi the right direction and coast downhill to victoria.
