BUS 23Q - July 23rd, 2004 at 03:42 PM

no bags yet got air shocks at the frout and in time will bag the rear end.. at the moment maken the rear end alittle neater and puting in a aluminium fuel tank and putting her on a diet(well cutting unused metal out) then goen lower, painting it, rear bags and then MORE POWER

BUS 23Q - July 23rd, 2004 at 03:44 PM

its legal hight is 100mm and thats what i drive it at but i lowered it a bit for the nats

t2 - July 23rd, 2004 at 04:29 PM

i did see in a vw mag a guy had his number plate covering the hole but actually sitting away from the body about 30 or 40mm using stainless pipe as packers in each corner of the number plate , i noticed that the scoop in your bus has tappered sides to get more air ,just a thought do you think it is possible to do this on your bus, maybe even drill some small holes in the plate but only on the black boarder or lettering to make it unnoticed or will it cause heating problems.

you can tell me to go and GET F ked if you like .

BUS 23Q - July 25th, 2004 at 11:23 AM

i m goin to put a grill over it and make it look like the top grill..if i was to do that it would stop to much natural flow of air and rely on the thermo fan to much to pull air through. thanx for the idea anyway

Grock - July 25th, 2004 at 01:07 PM

kombi_kid - July 26th, 2004 at 09:26 PM

hey dude
curiousw to how you tubbed it looks like a sweet job and a big job too!! does the rear need tubbing when going lower or is it already tubbed???
what extra power you going to??? and what gearbox you got??
all these questions and im still drooling over it!!!
awesome mate just awesome!
p.s. i loved watching that doing 15 second 1/4's!!!!
cheers
rhys

BenettonVW - July 26th, 2004 at 09:59 PM

Nah, very nice. Saw this in the pics of the debut at the Nats.. Hope to see it at Valla..

100mm? Hmm... My shocks are about an inch.. i.e. 25mm :blush

BUS 23Q - July 26th, 2004 at 10:03 PM

the front is a major job because you hav to cut into the doors, the rear is ok with 17 inch wheels and as low as i had it at the show but any lower might have do some cutting, at the moment the extra power is coming by getting cooler air to the intake and making the car alittle lighter and a few other mods.but later on i m going crazy with the motor. i have a 2 liter box but all the gears are taller to suit the motor, and hopfuly later on u mght see me do alitle beter times on the 1/4
thanks
adam

BUS 23Q - July 28th, 2004 at 06:00 PM

if u want headakes and to spend a shitload of money go a engine conversion but if u want a easy hassel free go oldskool.... if i had my chance again i would go oldskool,,, less headake and u can get good power out of a veedub motor
