Added a new photo (top one)
I'm going to respray it black again.
Currently I'm in the process of cleaning up the twin carbs (type 3) and tinware for the engine. :)

Thanks ppl :)

Here is a quick list of accessories for it: (some I already have, some i dont)
- eyelids
- mesh sunvisor
- pop outs
- wood slat roof rack
- fogs
- stoneguards
- overriders
- whitewalls
- empi gt steering wheel :)
- rear vent chrome trim
- feel free to suggest more, comments appreciated :)

Do you think I should put a bonnet script on like the one in this photo? What about a wolfsburg badge?

The front beam has an adjuster on the lower tube only, is this wise?
What wheels do you think I should get? Stock (painted, chrome), BRMS, EMPI 8's??
I currently have stock rims with 165s all round. Thinking 135s for the front but the beams already only like 12-13cm off the ground.

I need to pull the engine and take it to the cops so they can put an engine number in the usual spot instead of the type 3 location, because the tinware hides it.

Then I can register it!! Woohoo!!

Tazz - October 20th, 2004 at 12:07 PM

Got any pics of the linkage setup for the Type 3 carbs for your upright version???

I dont have any pics right now because the carbs, alt and fanhousing are all off right now, but i can explain it.

The linkage is simply the type 3 linkage, with the centre swivel turned upside down, the right side linkage bar is bent down and then up again so it can pass under the altenator. Its pretty primitive, but works fine!

You need to use an early fan housing I think, because the dog house is too wide

Go the rat, that thing would look sweet.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!

NO SPRAY! NP SPRAY! unless its just clear coat!

*did* - February 4th, 2005 at 12:50 AM

It is starting to look a bit too ratty and i think a change is coming.
I am going to sand it back and borrow a compressor and spray gear from a bloke down the road, re-spray it either black or the original colour.

Currently I am working on the engine, degreasing, repainting the tinware.

Not sure what to do about wheels for it, currently stock. I am thinking of painting the rims red and putting on the whitewalls and hubcaps.

Damn! almost forgot to mention the beam with dual adjusters that I picked up off low55! mmmm :)
