Does any body from the Sydney area remember anything about my Oval.It was restored at a VW repair centre about 10 years ago in Sydney(supposedly) for a bloke who apparrantly passed away B4 it was finished. It was sold to a bloke who lived in Kuala Lumur and he had it transported to his parents house here in Whyalla in Sth Aus.He had it put up on stands and was going to finish it off while on holidays here and use it to travel around for holidays. He never managed to do anything to it in 7 years so sold it to me about 3 years ago.I am just curious to find any history on it.It had a shit load of chrome work done to suspension bits and everything else was painted a CocaCola type red.It had a balljoint/swingaxle pan and all the seats and panels were recovered in a red vynyl. It had 15inch Porsche mags,6inch up front and 8's on the back with new tyres.Hoping someones memory is up to it.

Bringing it back-hoping to jog someone's memory.
what a let down...
when i read 'solve the mystery', i put on my trenchcoat, bobby hat, lit my pipe and picked up my enourmous magnifying glass... i even grew a
colonels moustache and put on an incredibly thick british accent. i was totally thinking i was going to track down a murderer (who might be in this
very room!) or uncover a drug ring, but noooo! car history!
i have no idea about your car, i would have been 7 at the time and thus couldnt pronounce volkswagen (i had a very thick british accent then too...
strange because ive never been to Britain). however; if you need to solve REAL mysteries, come and see me, i have a trenchcoat, bobby hat, pipe...
And I'll bet for easier access to your private parts your trench coat pockets have holes cut in them???????
