well.
i got freind who makes my feeble "try hard office worker" vehicle building look like rubish.
he says i need a rew rear bar and tells me to come over to his shed....
the old rear bar was superfluous as i'd changed to twin cannons. not only that, it was for looks only being made out of exhaust tube and only hanging
from the top mount. put it this way, if you got stuck, you told helpers NOT to use the rear bar to push... and it hung out a foot further than it
needed.
now stevie gets to it. i cant hand him the tools fast enough...
few hours later and da da. (even with stuffed gas regulator on mig. gas flow erratic from 0l/min to 11l/min with the thing fully open and me tapping
it!!)
45mmOD 2.3mm wall tube. i'm exited.
i can put a cross brace on it and it'll work as a tow bar.
why stevie helps me i dunno. he's got enough projects of his own!!!
all in all. a very good weekend............
he's also bending up some ally plate for a bashplate. woo hoo...

ps. (if you ever get on here) thanks stevie - alot...
whens a good time to come over for a new front bar???
sweet as looks like steve's a pretty handy bloke
I would love to have just half of what is in your shed!!! BTW the rear bar looks great- is it legal? (I was thinking of something like that too...)
Is that a VW powered Tractor? Cool.......
wel. here you go.
legal barwork??? only in WA - the land of the free... atleast until uniform road rules come into effect...
the pipe framer is not a tractor although its massey red. its stevie’s off road buggy. he made it from a pick of an early 80s baja winner. he had
to make the rear paddles to take on the swamp and 10 foot high reeds at the bottom of his block. they slip on and slip off.
the green manx is his road lic buggy. Its got a 2l kombi motor & box, uprated everything. hard core. it supercedes his prev builds - a 1600TP
black ragtop baja and a 1600TP tiapan buggy.
his next project is the subaru country buggy (will torana lights in big gards ever come back into fashion & be worth some $$??)
he's also talking the more weak willed of us into stuff like this...
(hope all the piks work)
so where does steve live???
i thought your rear bumper had to cover the rear wheels to the side but if its legal in WA then wahoo it looks awesome and so does that offroad pipe
buggy jesus thats insane.:thumb
