This was my pride and joy at the time, my old 66 custom.
She had molded guards, EJ tail lights, custom flames (by me), 1835cc, 2pak paint job, custom lid, raked off its head and 165/65 on the rear.
I ended up selling the old girl to a 17 year old kid, who's daddy had more money than sense $9500.00. I actually saw the car some 18 mths later and
it was completely trashed, I could have bought it back for $1500.00.

very nice mate but when are you going to rejoin us in sydney mate
Not for about 12-18 mths, I've only just posted to Cerberus. I get made up in jan 05 and will be moving on to boats in Darwin as the Swain. So I'd
say it might be a while.
I may be at the nationals next year depending on the dragon and my spawn.

great looking bug, shame to here it went to waste on that thoughtless girl.
It was actually a young boy of 17. He had no idea about how much work is require to maintain these old beauties.
I think Wayne Penrose bought it for $1000 and has fixed it up a bit and sold it off.
i like it very 80's but cool 80's unlike the bad stuff they did to vee dubs back then
Love the deck lid
Thanks, that was the idea, when I created the old girl. I was after the late 70/ 80 old school feel.
I really miss that car some times. But the KG makes up for it.
they put a 1916 in it and sold it to wayne penrose.
he is putting in a stock 1600 in it and i am buying the 1916 from him after he has a play with it.
Hey Lee what sort of money did you pay for the 1916. Also what $$ did he sell the old girl for?
it is actually going for $4500 with the 1600 in it.
who did the flames on the side? are they painted or the stick on ones? i wonder how chaos would look with a set of flames like that
There actually stickers designed by myself. The guy who made them is Brad, from 5 O Screen printing in Bomaderry NSW.
He's agreed never to reproduce the flames without my consent.
u2u me if your after a set. They work out to be around $150 + a set.
