My Step Dad is nearing the end of a project that has kept him busy for the last couple of years, he hopes to have this complete by Christmas. An
Upolsteror by trade but a jack of all trades the guy is a genius.
This started out as a beetle on a chevy luv pan and running gear, many of the beetle panel not obvious have been reused in different parts of the car,
see if you can spot where. So far this project has cost him no more than $600.00, what he can't find he manufactures.
yes believe it or not this project was inspired by this toy, which he uses for all his shape ideas etc, no pictures, no plans
Where can you see the original roof of the dub????? it is used over the rear of the car where the 'dickie' seat can be found
There are also guards used to makethe panel behind the doors the curved roof shape

You will recognise that he has chopped and altered the front screen but I reckon you can still see the 'bug' about it

Am proud he has shaped the thing based on a model you just dont get a bonnet he created the bonnet if you look closely you can see the rear quarter panel of the dub to the left of the wheel arches on the front
