This is my 65 beetle Wolf. Photo was taken on my first cruise (which was to Arthur's Seat). Sooooooooo... 3 years ago maybe? And... its when he
was shiny LOL.
Since then the paint has become increasingly more decrepit, and he is now under restoration at Vollkommen Art in Clayton (going back to where he was
born, to be reborn).
I've had him since September 97, before that he was my grandpas for 15 years.
In the 5 years I have owned him I have been gradually making improvements. I now have a 1600 dual port engine, recon 1200 gearbox, overhauled brakes,
converted to 12 volt with alternator and 009 dizzy. Oh.. plus the American spec headlights (bit of a running joke...).
This is what the paint looked like before he went in for the resto...

Jay, sorry about the poor quality of the pics. The settings in the camera had been changed and all the pics I took came out with a bluey tinge.

SWEET!!!!
Than is a beautiful bug you've got there Jay. I know I'm into heavily modified bugs but a fully restored original still arouses the senses.
A car definately worth smiling about.
Jay, I'll bring a CD of all the 1600x1200 originals when we do something about Mr Fasty.
The entire DOVW image collection (117 from me):

Good to see it finally got back on the road jay.
Since it's white, it's now a wolf in sheeps clothing
hehehe Thanks Wes - I am thinking of him more as a White Wolf... maybe if he had a turbo he could be a Wolf in sheeps clothing? (not something I am ever thinking of doing btw LOL
Jay
With big silly grin
YES!!!!! Jay, you hit the nail right on the head, trubo, turbo, TURBO
hehe
oh and lowering
You have a magic, enviable ride now.
I doubt the Dog will look as good as your wolf but I love my dog as much as you love yours, cept it's just not as shiny!
I'm glad it's all come together (literally) for you, and in time as well. Can't wait to have an in person perv. The paint, chrome and
carpet work looks brilliant. Great Job.
I betcha your Grandfathers proud.
I would be.
