beerdoc - October 13th, 2004 at 05:20 PM

Thats what I like to see

BOOTS and ALL

Go for it Andrew

If you need a contact for panels let me know LOL

pmgbus - November 29th, 2004 at 09:00 PM

managed to get front crossmember, rear crossmember and two top rails with new shift rod guides in. front outriggers and rear "c pillars are done, next step is rear outriggers, then inner front arch area and sills. every time i go to weld something i have to remove more rust to find somewhere to start from.

pmgbus - November 29th, 2004 at 09:01 PM

Have you checked the birth cert for this, it would have to be one of the earliest RHD T2's around!

Wish I had your skills with a welder.

57kombi - November 30th, 2004 at 09:45 AM

Yes type 2 and Pmgbus are mates and will both work on the barney.
Cheers
Dave

that's me standing behind the rusty piece of crap in the second pic.
and yes, I'll be lending as much assistance, and limited experience when and where I can, to see it back on the road again.

it had better look like this when your finished.I got this pic off barndoor.dk,whats your chassis number?you should stick it on here as there are only a few aussie barnys registered,
or is there an Ausrtralian barndoor register?

StenGuns - December 1st, 2004 at 03:15 PM

Sorry for my ignorance.. But wht are they called "barn door"?

koolkarmakombi - December 1st, 2004 at 05:31 PM

cause they are all found behind one!

check out barndoor.dk

frenzix - December 1st, 2004 at 06:45 PM

any bus pre march 55 is a barndoor, it's in reference to the large engine lid at the back (not the cargo doors) Damn are they sexy

vwtyp2 - December 2nd, 2004 at 02:32 PM

yep, picture it like that, but slammed, on sprintstars, and a monster type 4 engine.

"yep, picture it like that, but slammed, on sprintstars, and a monster type 4 engine"

Not a barndoor please!!! Go buy a fat chick (someone point one out for him please)

vwtyp2 - December 5th, 2004 at 09:50 AM

I can't think of a better candidate for sprints and a monster type 4.

frenzix - December 5th, 2004 at 10:53 AM

neither can i vwtyp2, unless you find a really original complete one, otherwise i would rat the hell out of it.
