This buggy was shown along with Mike Sharp's buggy,3 trikes and 2 motor bike on The Great Outdoor - Summer Special November 2001 - touring down
from Sernato across to Queenscliff and down The Great Ocean Road
This beach buggy was constructed at Forster by my brother - Kevin (nicknamed - Tow''d) and myself - Brian.
Construction time was from the chassie up (which we had already rebuilt) took 3 month of weekend work(travelling to Forster from Sydney) by myself and
a lot of nights during those 3 months by my brother. A couple of week were waiting for the upholstery done by Scott at Trik Trim - Forster (Time well
spent) - great job Scott
After getting the car's weight - 800kg with a full tank the car was engineered and blue slipped.
My buggy as far as i'm aware is the first 4 seater buggy to be registered in NSW 10/5/2001 that comply's with the current RDA rules.

Nup....cantr see em...try again
Hmm i think i would like a buggy soon!
Attach your pics by using 'attachment - browse' just above where you click 'post reply'
Click on browse takes you into your computer. Select the folder, then the pic file (make sure you've resized it to small)
Then when you finished your post and clicked 'post reply it will come up. You will not see it in this box, only you have completed the post.
Hope it works.
Can you only attach one photo at a time
Hope
Nice pair
Some seem to be able to post more than one but I haven't figured out what they do yet
You also need to add at least one word in this box, it refuses to allow you to post just a pic (learnt from experience)
I do like the look of those buggies. Excellent colours too

This is me last photo for to day .
whe i find out how to post more than one photo at a time i put up some action shots
Hi Brian,
How are you going ? I see Kevin has got side pods now as well. Did you get a bulk discount from Mike ??, He should be able to retire soon after selling all these side pods !!!
Shouldn't that have been, " this is my Sister-in-laws buggy" not " this is my brothers buggy" ??? :bounce
Is the Tow'd still around ??
Mark.
[Edited on 13-1-2003 by J&SBlue]
Hi Mark,
Yes you are right it is my sister-in -law's buggy and yes Kevin still has the Tow'd.
Got a better price buying in bulk. but i don't think Mike's made his fortune as yet.
Nice to hear from you, now that i know how to skrink photo's down in size i'll put u a good composition of shot for other members to look
at.
Are you going to Minnie Waters ??? or when is your next outing. :bounce:bounce:bounce:bounce:bounce:bounce:bounce:bounce
I know there would be many getting around that look that good. Hi Guys - Great to see you've made it to the Forum. Looks like your having some
fun alright. Nice use of the '6' above there Brian!
I like seeing buggies being posted and especially when their other Klub members buggies. Well have to get some shots of the T'owd up here Brian.
If you net savvy enough to get a web page going or know somone who can do it then you should be able to link pocs from another site, like for example
choice pics from the KlubVWOffroad site. This way people can link more than one pic at a time.
You will have to post a list of the goodies that you buggy sports as this is for sure one of the best of it's breed thats for sure. The Profile
pic must be doctored because it looks like you bogging down there - are you sure thats right .
Look forward to blowing the froth off a couple with you guys again. Probably wont be the Minnie Waters trip unless there is a spare seat available.
The Dog-O-War need some urgent attention before another long trip and it won't be happening soon unfortunately . Will hopefully be seeing you both at the Klub/Manx weekend for sure
though.
A Pic below of The Awesome Blue Fleck Sharp built of Mikes and Kevins T'owd - A rare shot since it actually just landed and sitting on the ground
for once. Must be awaiting clearance from the Williamtown control tower.
I hope you don't mind Brian - But I didn't want folks to get the wrong impression - Your buggy (Can look like a trailer queen) but it's
also done some sky work as well. here some choice pics linked from the Klub site -
You know the Bronze household is doin Ok when you see me flying one of these, but hey you only live once! Even the wife put it on the "must
get" list after riding in Brians for 1/2 a day.
...and of course the t'owd. :o
I've flown in this it's great fun. Thanks Kevin.
Your playing with fire I think Brian, Get it right - Whose Purple Buggy is it? Practice this while your brushing you teeth at night so you dont make a
slip on the nest outing. Look forward to catch up with you then.

This string will tell you more about posting multiple pics thanks to Andrew.

Brian,
I am hoping to go to Minnie Waters. I am thinking about trying to build or get a very light trailer built so that we can take enough stuff away to go
camping and would like to be able to use the trip to Minnie Waters as a first up test.
We are hoping to go to Fraser Island the first 2 weeks of April, so am trying to get setup for that. Work might put a stop to that though as it maybe
the exact time I have to move our server room to another level.
The good thing is the weather is not to bad so it is a good time to get out there and use the buggies.
Mark.

Those aerial pics are cool:thumb
Looks like you guys havew some fun on the dunes
:thumb:thumb Yes Jenz58 we do have some fun times, Stockton Sand Dunes a beautiful spot to enjoy offroading - especially if you have a buggy or a
baja. You only have to ask the No 1 fan ""The Bronze" after his last trip "BIG AIR" :thumb:thumb I'm not surprized he
had problems with his front end during his move to Dubbo. How's reverse gear Bronze it seemed to be your best gear at one stage.
After more practice i'll put up more photo's showing jumping buggy's
[Edited on 15-1-2003 by GS Limo 3]
It's not my front end I'm having probs with. It's my rubbers.
I was hoping to get to a mates place to replace them before Dubbo but all the dates got moved and I had to persist with how it was when we were last
at stockton. The rubbers have since all but perished and are now truly cactus.
Fortunately we only leave trackes at stockton. It is a beautiful place and everyone I have met who goes there respects it because it is such a
wonder.
It can be harsh and hot, not to mention bright, but on the same token - very very exciting. It's just even better when you go with the right
people.
[Edited on 18-1-2003 by The_Bronze.]
Bronze, this is a great line of yours !! I can be harsh and hot, not to mention bright.....
Hot and Harsh eh ???? Bright ??? Not sure about that one !!!
Just joking Bronze...thanks for the laugh:bounce:bounce
I can be harsh, at the moment I'm hot, 40c and humid - and your right, rarely do I feel bright. Mabey for 1/2 an hour in the afternoons. He he
Here the latest shot of my brother Purple Beach Buggy

Yes, Neil the GS Limo goes better with the handbrake off, but lets face it I have to give your Manx every advantage
while on the sand dunes! Ha Ha Ha
