my driveway today

try again

for fsss sake work
one capitol letter wrong :duh:duh

this arrived today

i own a 7 day a week gen store with my life long partner
which takes up most of our time if not all of it but hope to
have these 2 splits on road in a yr with help from a retired
panelbeater spraypainter
spoke stan pobjoy last week about daul ignition
for the bay instead of a different motor just to have
more power for hills & its a goer very soon
the story about his motors is in this months vwmag
its good he only lives 20 ks away from me
using my motor instead of my pipedream of a 911
porsche will be at least $8000 cheaper & more efficient
heres hoping wally wombat
nice bus, post the results - torque and fuel economy etc. i noticed some porsche race engines have a dual distributor setup and dual plugs. should be good.
What sort of price's are we looking at for twin plugging T4 engine's from stan. ? I have my BMW bike done, runs better on crappy fuel and idles and
starts better. Get an extra 30 kays a tank too!
Rob...
gotta keep the graffitti look. if you want i know a bunch of local talent who could mural that entire bus, just buy em the rattle cans
yes i asked about doing motor & 5 hrs later i left
he can talk but it is very interesting to listen.
about $1500.00 to do the motor then i will have
to change exhaust which is shame as i have german
exhaust original .
i was thinking about doing the inside of graffiti split
good motor mags & leave graffiti as is & the roof is
all mouldy too, will see down track anyway.
about motor i assume that diff gearbox would have
to be upgraded too but would be much preferrable
to orig idea of exspencive porsche motor as the big man says (IM EXCITED)
robo
seen stan today & will ring him tom about time & price
he says i will be driving with recon motor before xmas.
lucky thing was had new heads put in 1yr ago to run on
unleaded(amc heads)which apparently are the best for
twin ignition so money saved there, both my mechanic
graham of mid coast volkswerks & stan believe 1800 gearbox
in kombi now should handle modifide motor ok as long as i dont
go around laying rubber which is not what im after anyway.
will post pictures in a couple of weeks of old & new motor &
of fuel consumption, oil temp & end cost conversion.
too be able to keep orig motor with a marked improvment in
power & pace has to be better than hacking the motor bay
to wack in a jap reject (my opinion only but hey theirs no argument)
wally
my 1800 bored out to 2ltr

in about 3 wks will post finished motor
