after 6 months and alot of thinking, Zak finally had his back speakers go in on monday night. Considering the complete lack of cavities and the propensity of water to end up on the floor, this was figured as the best locale for them.
as you can probably see, they are 6x9"s. I like to call them "sique by noins" if you know what I mean. :P
They are in carpeted MDF boxes I bought from strathfield car radios ages ago. The head unit is a Panasonic CD player/tuner with 4x40w RMS. As I sure
you can imagine, there is more than enough volume. Probot sounded awesome cruising yesterday and the stereo mostly drowns out the noise of the motor.

Different,
so does that platform that goes all the way from side to side over the tunnel? Wouldn't that be uncomfortable for folk in the back with legs? or are
you goings 'sans back seat'?
Sorry,
meant to say different as in not bad/wrong/evil etc. Not what I would do, but neat job and looks good.

nah I know what you mean,
the platform goes all the way from side to side to cover the battery and give me some storage space.
the back seat is only really there for kiddies, the roll bar is abit too short for adults. funny thing is that it's height is totally legal.
The only reason it's got a back seat was to placate the wife. Originally I wanted to mid mound a Jap fwd eng/tranny back there. mmm...VW mr2
style.
Worked out well though, coz now we've got a 10 month old little girl and I have a child restraint anchor point in behind the seat. So in goes the
capsule and away we go. She loves it too, no socks + warm day, she sticks her feet up in the breeze and has a great time. Just goes to prove there's
more to life than cars.
why not in a parcel shelf? mine slotted in noicely. my next job is to fit my fully siik 10 inch sub, which will require segmentation, padding etc. ill probly do a report in members rides or sumthn.
