a pic thanks to "sneak_e" http://www.circlework.com.au
Welcome dude.
Good to see another buggy owner on here.
Thanks Mr Desert Moose for telling me about the site. I couldn't believe the amount of info avail here.
See ya up at Lancelin on Boxing day.
The buggy is now yellow, has a new exhaust and now has some marine carpet...........
That looks awesome!
i love the yellow. have u got a pic with your screen back on and ur rubber flares etc.?
Lookin Good Mark, have you got it back on the road yet
I got back on the road a few days ago. It takes about twice as long to put back together as it does to pull apart! The paint went on with a gloss to
it which lasted a few days but it then went flat after some cool weather. I gave it a bit of a polish but it really needs a buff to bring out a shine,
which i'll do soon. It looks better than it did anyway.
I don't have any photos of it complete yet but will get some soon. I was going to take some photos today but it's pouring with rain!! So some photos
will come in the next few days...............

you seem to have the same problem as me with a low front. cant wait to get mine in the clouds
Thanks mate.
i know it would look better if the front was raised but it doesn't give me too much trouble so I'll leave like that for now............
MarkMark.... Cut Cut Cut that roll bar....
My new buggy, a Manx Clone........
I just fitted type 3 brakes and my old wheels to the rear..
A side on pic (was a bit dark though).....
Just fitted my headlights and wipers...
What muffler are you running on the engine - looks like a Stinger with a supertrapp ?
Cheers ... Kimbo
That's it sort of. It's basically an off road racing exhaust. The Supertrapp can be tuned by adding or removing plates. It's not as loud as it looks but it can be if I want it to be.
Thanks Mark - didn't know you could get Supertrapps big enough to fit the end of a stinger, but you learn something everyday.
I'd be interested to know from any of the offroad racers out there whether that setup would pass CAMS scrutineering these days ?
Cheers ... Kimbo
I think they would. Desert Moose used to have exactly the same exhaust on his race car. He will know if they are still legal.
Yeah I suspect they would as well, coz CAMS says "a muffler is to be fitted", and that's a Supertrapp is, at least to me - but "muffler" is a
very generic statement and some of the scrutineers are picky b*stards - and the pickiness varies from State to State, ie what Moose may have got away
with may not work in SA. However, I've got a club meeting over next week, so I'll ask some of the guys.
Cheers ... Kimbo
My exhaust is quiet enough to drive on the street so I think the scrutineers would have to be a bit harsh to not allow it.
Just put my old engine in
also have been doing some wiring....
My buggy is on the road now. Has been for about 12 months now. There is still heaps I want to do with it.
Here's some pics...
Looks quite the beast.
