yeah the deck lid is carbon fibre, a truck backed into the one that is in the picture (hence the crappy fit at the top), so he had to buy me a new one which im working on now. i cut the sub frame of the top of a standard deck lid and sikaflexed it to the carbon wha la!!! when the guy hit it, the lid flexed inside out until it hit the carby and pushed the car forward a couple of metres (in gear with the hand brake on) the only damage was that the gel coat has stress fractures, but the carbon itself suffered no damage tough stuff!! its quite cool because now i can push my foot on the lid and show people just how flexible, yet strong it is

hellbugged - January 3rd, 2005 at 10:14 AM

hellbugged - January 3rd, 2005 at 10:19 AM

Ahh

So that's who owns that 1.

Hey Damo
:beer

56astro - January 9th, 2005 at 02:27 PM

BTW
Don't change the paint scheme, it looks great the way it is.

I've seen it around and wondered who owned it,

then I passed u on the h'way and noticed the engine lid.

Put 2 and 2 together.

or so the saying goes with whitelines.

chatting to a couple of people 'bout these lately so here they are;front.

i had to lenghten the mounting plate used here (atop link bolt), so it looks like the shorter one that came with the bars will be spot on for use with a narrowed beam(2 inch)
