And here's Ferdinand my 71 Fastback (1600 injection).
He recently won a plaque at the Brighton Breeze show. He's a beaut.
He's had a bare metal respray but apart from that he is totally original. No welding underneath and all original body panels, interior etc

Plans for the fasty are as follows
Lowered at the front, beauty rings on the wheels, maybe a visor, pressed metal number plates, rain guards and what ever else takes my fancy

yeah the bug is a 69 change over year....not sure why Oz was different year to us but it obviously is.
How the hell did you suss that one out??
I can only notice this on beetles by bloody big clues like small rear lights not elephant's:duh
