here's where the rad sits in my v6 bus.
the rad is from a hx holden v8.
it has a thermo fan on the back to blow air through.

there's a duct that sits behind the beam to direct cold air through the rad.

view of top of rad.
sits neatly between chassis rails, and on an angle so air passes through it easily.

here's another pic of the air duct.

Steve

about 100mm.
you can see in the 2nd pic that the exhaust hangs dorn lower than the cooling.
this will change very soon though. :)

Would I have any ground clearance issues if I fitted it to mine??

Alex Holzl - January 5th, 2005 at 10:15 PM

hahaha nar not at all!

vwtyp2 - January 6th, 2005 at 09:17 AM

should be o.k. Gra.
hangs down 100mm from chassis.
I can show you how, if you show me how to get down that low. ;)

hey thats how i had the vn v6 rad fitted but I couldn't relocate the outlets mmm , changing mine to up front as the kombi gets a lot of offroad use, also want to get a an all alloy rad due to the fact I burst the end plastic end tank one up on its second outing ( pretty common for these ones).
