Well, there is not much to say about my bus, it has 4 wheels and it goes well ! I use it as a second car, it is driven mainly on Sundays just to keep it going once a week, its the fun car, I go away camping in it and if I go for long day trips I usually take the kombi. as you can see I take it to the airport, nothing better than on a hot night, fill the fridge, pack some munchies, pack the chairs, and smell the jet fuel as the jumbo jets pass very low over our heads, the kids love it.
The other day when melbourne reached 45C where was I ? I was in the kombie driving to Wilsons Prom, I asked the kids what the campometer said.. they yelled out from the back, "mum its 49C", no wonder I worked up a bit of a sweat, I was a bit worried about the car, we were fine, we had lots of ice water and the kids didnt seem too hot but the poor old kombie chugged along. I was surprised it didnt break down in the heat ( or blow up). It did smell a bit funny after a while but I suppose it was just hot !
I do love my old kombie, I have had it for about 5 yrs now, I would never give it up.
The 2 happy faces are my kids, they love our adventures in the kombie.
I might catch up with you guys one day on one of your day trips.

I grew up in the Dandenongs - Wombat Rd, Mt Dandenong. I'm down that way reasonably often visiting friends in Upway/Belgrave, maybe I'll see you around. :)
