Original_1972_Superbeetle - March 2nd, 2005 at 03:50 PM

Ok plans for the car are absolutly none apart from a drive every weekend or whenever i have the chance.

Mods or new parts - None whatsoever , its a completely original 15 Million edition Build - 999 superbug with the only changes being.......

*Wiper blades
*Engine oil , Oil filter , Strainer and fuel filters
*Tyres

Otherwise owned by my grandfather since when he bought it in 72..........
Means alot to me now as it did to him.............:thumb

littlebugga - March 2nd, 2005 at 03:53 PM

Midlife crisis - March 2nd, 2005 at 04:13 PM

very sweet ride

barls - March 2nd, 2005 at 04:15 PM

doesnt need one its just in storage cause its not practical for the old man to drive it. it might be getting a 2L t4 kombi motor though. besides the old man is busy with mine at the moment

Original_1972_Superbeetle - March 2nd, 2005 at 04:18 PM

Ah good stuff , any idea's on what sort of value my car would hold and other things you guys can tell me bout this particular model ?

barls - March 2nd, 2005 at 04:29 PM

well having 3 of them at the moment. a good one ie no rust good engine and gear box will be about $5000. about $3000 for a little rust. and about $500 for one with some rust and stuffed engine

Original_1972_Superbeetle - March 2nd, 2005 at 04:33 PM

Oh ok fair enough.......
I was led to believe that it would be worth more than that by the guy who's serviced it from new so i give up and all other amounts from different people so i give up...........

:cussing

barls - March 2nd, 2005 at 04:45 PM

you may be able to get more for it as its a 15th million but with out seeing the car im only guessing. for example the one im driving now is worth only 3 grand but the one im doing up will be like 10 to 15 grand adn was 7 grand before i wrought it off

Original_1972_Superbeetle - March 2nd, 2005 at 04:51 PM

Yeh i know what your saying......
Well either way its just nice owning 1 anyway.........

barls - March 2nd, 2005 at 04:54 PM
