what do you think of my highly modified doortrims? like the datsun doorhandle and subaru doorpull? both fit the original spots
how about the smooth dash with air and acc guages?
interior including hanging lights and 60's roadmap on cupboards
sweet behind
and finally front includign early VW symbol but lacking bullbar and spotties (for now)
awesome stuff:sandrine i love those cubords they look sweet as
does it cool ?
Don`t get the cupboards? What is that?
sweet ride to be soon... im jealous..
seems to cool brad. got it up to 80- 90deg in 1/2 hour driving start stop on an 80kph road. will no for certain when i have it regoed, but the old engine from when i got the car had been in there for years and didnt seem to have any heat-related problems.
looks sweet mate, love the door trim. enjoy it!

I have waited 3 years for these pics..
SWEET
ps: any engine pics?
what is it that you have stuck to the walls, ryan? they look like old newspapers or something....
and how did you do the checkered floor? that is AWESOME
Hi Ryan, I have got some spotties you can have for nicks if you want them. They are cheap plastic ones, but they were ok on our bus for a couple of years. We got Harley D ones now, so give us a tingle if you want them.
When I say cheap plastic, the lens is glass.....
Where'd that poptop come from? Mine is like most I have seen - fibreglass and sticking out too high!
roof racks on the pop top looks cool smart idea & street map as wallpaper you have to jump in back to see where your going:thumb
is that air vents under sliding door handle or trick pic
Well done Ryan! It's been a long road eh?
thanks all, yes it has been a while. will try and find an engine pic, helbus, might take u up on that offer, i have a set to fit but one has a lense that is wrecked. yep winerot, ther is an airvent in the sliding door, one of the many mods that was there when i got the car. many more vents on the other side.
closest thing i have to an engine shot for the moment. there are 2 thermo fans hidden behind the rad.
mns kmobi the roof is an early trakka model, a bit lower profile the the sopru ones, and has a nice solid steel frame built in to retain teh roof's strength
YAY! IM REGISTERED! just drove into burwood and back, car ran like a dream. not exactly quiet at speed (wind buffering off poptop) but no engine or
heating problems, seemed to sit at a constant temp, no water leaks anywhere or unpleasant noises. :thumb :thumb :thumb
might need a couple of :beer tonight to celebrate
Well done Mate, congrats. Now you MUST change your avatar at once.
Lookin' great mate, must all seem worth it now eh!
What year model is it?
Woohoo........how exciting Ryan.Congrats....you probably won't see this message for days as you'll be out driving all the time!!!!!!!:party:party:party
Congrats BBCK.
Nice to get it regoed finally isn't it. Enjoy.
Now the real fun begins...that is...gettting every thing to work as best as pos. How well does it cool on the freeway?
been on the road for almost a week now, wow what a rollercoaster. i am losing ALOT of water, and a little bit of oil, still not sure how but am working on it, but the car has been cruising better then i could have imagined, headed to frankston yesterday, got to boronia and a drive shaft fell off! fixed it on the spot (thanks to the guys at the VW shop for the cheap bolts), was simply not put on quite right in the first place and had worked its way loose, made it to frankston and back cruising comfortably at upto 95, no overheating, but seemed to boil going to templestow and back today after replacing the thermostat (which was absent), am getting rediculously good fuel economy (averaging 10l/100km!), shock bolt on passenger side tried to work itself loose today, and filled the cabin with smoke when turned the headlights on, but turned out just to be a short from one of my accessory guages.
