nice work, then down to steves for an irs work out
good work mate.. so it's yours?
yes its mine but the partner will have it & will be sent to syd
for irs, have a motor out of a 59 might put it in or maybe something
a bit more punch to it but not to change engine bay at all will get
stan pobjoy to recondition the motor should be strong enougth
colour is going to be white on deep blue like t2's split at the moment
might change colour later anyway but have about 5 weeks to decide.
here it is in the yard, start is on monday & steve is the type that will put full effort into one vehicle at a time so the finished deadline is
about 6 wks
will keep posting pics on bit by bit progress.
cannot speak highly enough about steve & the work he does on cars but
as the weeks go by you will see what i mean
Look forward to watching this one. It looks like a pretty good base to start with.
All the best with it.

split on a spit who's got the sauce
steve has a metal press cool makes his own parts out of
zincaneon will never rust & a thick gauge
the underside is in perfect condition the benefits from the country
& not the coast like the first one i bought (still pissed about that)
[Edited on 30-5-2005 by winerot]
from this today
to this today, steve makes his own panels out of zincaleon
[Edited on 30-5-2005 by winerot]
Very nice. Nice floor repair panels.. I'd be up for some of that..
yeh this guy is good he will press his own panels no worries
its zincaneon or zincaleon it wont rust & i dont have to hunt for
replacement panels
i thought that living on the mid nth coast i would be restricted
with getting things done here but up the road is steve hes a
second to none repairer & a few kls away is stan pobjoy who
will recondition the motor & in coffs is graham of midcoast volkswerks
who does all my service & has done so for years.
syd, melb, bris, adelaide hah ive got it all here
"mid north coast has the most"
that looks like second to none work..well done
a couple of his own cars hes rebuilding but has stopped to
do mine, steve will do 1 car from start to finish for ppl like
me that has never attempted to restore before its great
the cabriolet is original & another in the yard waiting

what kind of paint is it at - is that primer?
good work, is he expensive?
Timmy
no not primer two pack which goes on halve a day after
primer so it sticks better to primer & eliminates having to
sand primer for a stronger connection to paint
i wont know total amount till its finnished but thats fine,
im not too worried as hes doing a great job with no short cuts.
