This has been a big project, on and off over the last 18 months,
I bought is as an unfinished project, in a million bits, everything was apart, and I mean everything. It was all painted and just needed putting
togeather, sounds easy right!!!.
I wanted it to look like a stocker with a few upgrades to make it drive nice.
It is a 1954 shell on a '69 IRS pan, 365 Porsche chrome wheels, wide 5 Type 3 rear drums and a Sol-Cal wide 5 disc brake kit up front.
Paint is 2 pac pearl white, pan and suspension is all 2 pac black.
Interior was made by Rod Penrose, made to look like stock with a few small changes, He did a fantastic job too.
Engine is a rebuilt 1600 with twin Kadrons and a tuck away muffler, gearbox is an "L" bug.
Goes in for rego on Friday, then it will be 4 sale.

Thanks
Turbo54
neat as a pin
how much do u want for it?
Yep - straight to the point Dave - how much?
Thanks Guys,
The car is already under offer by a guy who has been watching the resto for the last few months, If he doesn't end up buying it, it will be 4 sale
for around the $13500.00 range, you couldn't build one for that.
Turbo54, it's a March '55, original chassis number was
1-850079
Barry, the baby stroker was for this car, but would have blown the cost out of the ball park!!, It goes nice with the 1600, and is much quieter.
That's awesome ! Was only saying today that I really wanted to add an oval to my fleet of cars !
Beautiful! Very neat little oval
Very very nice Dave, next project?
Fantastic work Dave - very tidy little resto - I am sure someone would be very happy to drive this one away!
Great work
standard looking with a shaken not stirred mods
Lovely
Top work Dave, must be a great number to drive!
:beer
Looks fantastic.
Could you please tell us what happens with getting it registered with regards to seatbelts and blinkers? Do the papers say it is a 54 or a 69?
Registered no worries as a '69, that is what the chassis is, after a phone call to the RTA, we found it can be registered as a '69 with semaphores
and with out seat belts as it is a pre ADR ('73) car.
Seat belts will be fitted when the brown ones on order turn up!.
Nice Dave, anymore pics?
if i didnt know the date today id say it was brand new
