well i wanted to upgrade to the cabin... trace says nope we need the money for the oval hahaha.. tight arse!! so we stayed on the cruise seats.. we
were pretty tired so we went to sleep at about 10pm... i woke at midnight, then at 2am looked over at trace and she's gone... thought yep no probs
toilet trip... but nooooooo... she's out at the bar talking vdubs to a group of guys.. turns out one of them had restored about 5 split kombis in his
time!! hahaha.. meet them everywhere. so trace didn't sleep much... i went back to sleep and woke up around 4:30 then we waited till brekky was
served and got up.
Was really funny when we were leaving... two dudes in a late model 7 series Bimma parked directly behind us had a flat battery!!! hahaha.. we had to
wait till we got in the car and started laughing.. and you know why.. lol.... they were talking to us about the bug... asked what year etc.. why the
engine lid didn't close properly... hahahaha... got some comments when we were driving on about it too... nearly everyone commented on the noise and
how it looks.. :thumb

have already had this conversation with trace over it. i am happy to put my nearly 2 year old forrester out in the driveway and put the oval in the
garage next to the new cabrio... trace says no... leave it out till we start work on fixing it up then it goes in the garage... but dont worry. i'm
sure it wont take long before it is in the cosy garage cuddled up to the cabrio. i give it about a week... lol

I want to restore it so that it is "period sensitive" so the yellow will go and it will wear a shade of hopefully mint green (hence me desperatly
trying to find out what color that notch was at the Herbie cruise). I also want a few more pieces of bling, wheels etc etc and want to redo the
interior - banjo wheel and the like.
Its gunna be a long term project, but hopefully worth it.
I also want to put a roof rack on it, but think that it may look out of place with rag top ?

hahaha... yep.. gone to the dark side... we are now officially fence sitters... one leg on the newbie side and one leg on the oldie side... lol
now all we'll fight about is who gets which set of keys for cruisin... although i think i know the answer to that one too... since the oval has no
heaters -as yet- mscabrio will no doubt want the comfort of heated seats...
