Fireman Bens 1970 VW Beetle KRZ 608
Harryman - July 24th, 2005 at 09:28 PM

Gday guys I thought I would post up my first beetle project. It is a 1970 Beetle with a 1600 TP w/ Webber carby and extractors. All work completed by me and my mate Barry Richard (Near Father In Law). Barry did the spray job in my shed and a dam lot of panel beating. He did a magnificant job and it turns heads just with the paint job. This is the first car I have ever done up in my life and I have learnt so much. However it is all rewarding this is my daily car and it has drop spindles frnt w 135r15's and 205r15s rear which is also lowered. It has sony duel face headdeack w 10 inch sub and 6x9's as well as two amps to power them along with a 13plate battery. Custom door trims, full carpet kit, velour interior and front seats out of a holden jackaroo. The Paint Colour is Ford BluePrint. It still has a few things left to complete as I have just recieved some rear pop out windows and front and rear window rubbers. It now has a D Emblem and other assorted bits here and thier. Once it is finally finished I will take a good pic and post it for you to look at. There are many more parts that are on the car which I have left out if you are interested ask and I will reply back with the details. The first picture below is what we started with bieng bad panels, rust rust and more rust and some of the finished project

Yeh the colour is very nice I have seen your bug at the show at yarra valley I think... Nice Ride mate I originally painted it this colour two years ago with the wrong painting instructions backed into a fire hydrant at my work and decided to do the whole thing again. A Dam heap of work but the result is very nice....
