My Kombi, My Pride :)

Hey everyone... Ive just started using AVD a week or two ago. Though I'd post some pics of my van... It's my pride and joy. It's a 1977 Bay Window which I bought nearly a year ago. I pulled the original seats out (which are for sale in the wanted section) and converted it to a camper. I spent many a long day out in the garage working on the cabinets.

I got the wood for free from my old work since they over ordered, my grandfather donated the primus stove, Mum sewed the cushions from a sofa bed mattress and my girlfriends mum brought me some carpet home from work. All in all the conversion cost me about $200 for screws and brackets :)

Also for creature comforts up front, I lined the glovebox with soft carpet and installed a JVC MP3 headunit with 6" 3way splits up front and the existing speakers from the last owner in the back :)

hehehe... im flattered... i had no idea what i was doing when i started but im glad its turned out the way it has... when i got the van id barely even seen kombi's before and spent a lot of time running around taking pictures of them to get some idea of what i was doing...
Unfortunately i have no idea what the colour was because i bought it that way. I actually wasnt too happy with the idea of orange but its grown on me now and i wouldnt have it any other way.

Glad you all like it... now i just have to work out how to get involved in the club scene hehehe :)
