Very nice engine looks good now. are you painting it if so what colour.

Keep up the good work

Marc

Color is still undecided. I have been appointed as the creative genius behind this project while Rod is the technical officer / dogs body. I am quite keen on mint green, but have to admit my attention was caught by the new aqua blue on the Holden Commodores.

What I do know is that the interior will be a beige / cream color. Would love to trim the seats in leather, however don't think that budget will allow for that

For update, last night we picked up a smashing set of popouts and a Petri steering wheel

nbturbo - September 7th, 2005 at 10:35 AM

It won't matter what colour you choose-it's an Oval-enough said.

thanks... i think it looks much better in black.. and the powdercoat came up nice...
as mscabrio said we are a lilttle undecided on colour... can't decide on a late model colour from any car maker or whether to go to some original colour.
we also cant decide on the stainless trim. at present it has none... but dont know if we want to put it all back on.
decisions.......:o

My father used to own this car, Its come a long way since then. Not to mention the distance it has gone and how many owners it has had.

I wish dad still kept it, such a cool little car.

cheers steve

mscabrio - September 8th, 2005 at 08:12 AM

Thats cool ! Andy did tell us that someone from the forum had a history with this car. Do you know much about it?

It is a great little car and we can't wait for it to be all fixed and shiny and back on the roadnn[ Edited on 7-9-2005 by mscabrio ]

well finally got the king pin bushes reamed today. new king pins, link pin bushes, link pins and shims etc etc... all assembled, greased up and ready to go back onto car..
also had the fuel tank adaptor plate welded on to fit the new fuel sender. Tank has to be sandblasted in the morning for powdercoating, also sandblasting the steering arms as the paint is flaking, will also get them powdercoated before fitting the new tie rod ends.
