figured it was about time to start a build thread for my bug considering the major surgery is beginning / has begun, i shall start with WE HAVE LIFTOFF!!!! the body and pan are now divorced, well except the front is hanging on somehow and it looks like a big trapeze act cos its hung from the HUGE beams above it, yes they can take the weight im sure, wish i had a cam now, would make this more interesting to see, either way PICS COMING SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!! once i get a digi cam anyway, will be to late to show you the before the surgery shots tho unfortunately, will keep you posted as it progresses
UPDATE : body is now suspended from the roof like a novelty sized beetle shaped swing, maybe i should just leave it there and use it as a swing..... or not very happy now, yay for me, now gota move the pan out from under it, put it on one side of the garage the body hanging from he roof from the other then strip them both, oh yeah has anyone used the rustbullet stuff yet or am i probably going to be the first?

Update - Pics taken!!!!!!!!!!!! of all the rusted bits, if i didnt find a cam it would of only been the After shots everyone got to see, but anyways
my sister brought her cam with her so i borrowed it so yeh the Before shots coming soon, early in the new year cos she didnt bring the cable thingy 2
connect it 2 the comp, but yeh better than nothing!

penguin was just here so hes free 2 put his opinion of how nasty it looks now that hes seen it, stripping continues, i hate 30 odd year old bolts, pulled the loom and the dash bits now, more stripping nothing special at this point

ok managed to move the pan out of the way and lower the body down from the roof, boy i sure would kill for a few more sets of hands,etc, would be mighty useful, but nothing a few ratchet straps and a little enginuity dosent fix, so yeah they are moth on the grond, about to take the pan out the front and strip it, then its onto the body cos by the time ive finished i will have my mig so yeah damn the front end of the body and pan are BLOODY HEAVY! stupid crap, oh yeh thanks 2 me donating some stuff to penguin i found my torlley jack handle yesterday! vevy useful, oh yeh penguin call them your xmas pressie:thumb hoep u make good use of it.
forgot to mention that the bug is now about 4ft high instead of 8 when finished it will be alot closer to the 4ft high me thinks like 4ft 6! well thats what ill guess at the moment...
