kevo - February 1st, 2006 at 12:04 AM

hey guys, i don't know if you havent seen my car in the non VW engine conversions part of the site, but this is proudly my V8 now

took me a while to plan how it was all to go and fit, not to mention finding all the parts,
i was told by so many that it wont work and that i will screw up the car... HA look at it now!!! bet that shut em up

not bad for a 19yo non-mechanic eh haha

By the way.. what V8's it got in it?.. Range Rover?... 253?

kevo - February 1st, 2006 at 04:44 PM

215ci alloy rover V8, the 10.5:1 compression model

ColumBUS - February 1st, 2006 at 06:21 PM

it won't be legal like that, you'll have to make/buy a cage for it methinks. would be safer if you did anyway.
but its awesome! keep up the good work. when is it getting slammed?

byronbus - February 1st, 2006 at 06:27 PM

slammed and it will look awsome

Schmoburger - February 1st, 2006 at 06:37 PM

I think it would be possible to mod a standar kombi lid and put it on... i reckon it would look better than having the ass hanging out. :tu:

I'm sure somebody on here had Range Rover motor in a bay and manage to fit it under the lid. :D

Hey Kevo, start looking for a new gearbox now.....that way WHEN it breaks, you'll have another one to slot in....LOL
Looks good :thumb

jeremy - February 4th, 2006 at 01:42 AM

Did you paint it yourself or did you have it professionally done. What sort of $$ did it cost??

Looks great, I love the colour

koolkarmakombi - February 4th, 2006 at 12:59 PM

mate that rocks!

kevo - February 4th, 2006 at 05:33 PM

na i didnt paint it jeremy, i got it professionally done, i have 2 mates in the business and they panneled the whole thing and sprayed it, all up including the 2pac and other materials it cost me $4k, yer i love the colour too, "devil Yellow" also known as monaro yellow,

as for my gearbox 11CAB, haha na i don't do that often, i drive her relatively nice, and have never tried to sit brake the car without the road bein wet or havin dishwashin liquid on it haha,

as for the boot lid, i am just over halfway moulding a new fibreglass lit with bowl shaped bits in it to fit the alternator, waterpump pully and belt, sanding it back to a nice smooth even shape probably as you read this...

cheers for the comments guys, apriciate it :thumb
