'Patch' My 64 Bug
53racer - February 11th, 2006 at 09:48 PM

Ok, so though not many here know me, I thought it be time to show my 64 Bug, which I currently refer to as 'Patch' the paint work indicates why.
Current plan is to remove roof rack, sun shader, and all crud that does nothing and looks untidy.
seats are freshly, tho not well done recovers, comfy and soft.
the body work is holding together, few things need tinkering, engine is dirty, bout it. :D
enjoy.
oh btw, its a 1200 64 with wolfburgs crests and hub caps.

I'll take the roof rack if you're offloading it.. Might do olde skool on the 67

Yeak ok, if u wanna pick it up, its free, if u want it sent, ill charge 15$ to dismantle and pack... not including postage cost.
lil side note. the pic makes it look better than it is. I won't lie, it is pretty rusty, but you could if your game rub it back and spray.

can i have the sunvisor?

53racer - February 12th, 2006 at 04:02 PM

sunvisor is yours, same deal as the roof racks, you either collect it for free, or u pay for postage.
the sunvisor is more an upside down stone deflector, its simply a grated mesh... has a few dents prob from heavy tree shedding.

Do you want the roof racks dismantled to be able to fit them in a trunk???

once this heat goes down and i get downstairs to take some new pics of the car ill take a pic of the rack and visor where i've stored them.
spent the whole day polishing the car. the paint was that badly oxidised... but it looks much happier now all shiny.... cept the patched sections :S

Ok, here is the pic of the roof rack and 'sun visor'

also decided to add another 2 pics since im posting 1.

spent the ENTIRE day polishing, it took an hour to wash, 6hrs to polish. but well worth it.

looks awesome, where you located so i can pick it up
?

53racer - May 14th, 2006 at 01:11 PM

Ok, the car is getting rebuilt at a workshop with a dedicated but slow mechanic. so meanwhile i've been getting other things remade etc.

got the seats repacked with the seat covers that were on the original worn away material. they came up quite well. they were abit stretched from being incorrectly used as featured in pic#1, but the guy did a great job.
plus he molded the back so i can sit 'into' the seat.

I liked the rack and visor look but each to their own. Looks like a nifty machine you've got there.
Nice one!
