Looks awesome - can't wait to see some more pics and get some info regarding brake setup, engine (can't make out if it is type IV or I) - looks like a pretty serious machine! :o
Thanks Fellas
Will post some more pics soon,
The shell is a 69 with a 72 mcpherson floorpan
porsche 915 5 speed with quaffe diff
2.3 type 4 ,50x40 valves,solid cam,twin ida"s,autocraft dry sump
system,daul master cylinder brakes w/adj bias,hydraulic clutch,all
braided, rear calipers golf vr6 & late type 3 up front & carbon pads
trying this brake combo to start with to keep weight down, have
some 4 spots ready to go but the car is very light & masive brakes
would prove pointless except look pretty, all oil & feul lines braided
w/anodosed fittings, underneath is painted almost as good as outside,
all panels fibreglass except doors, acrylic windows, front gaurds I hand made to compensate for longer wheelbase of floorpan, could go on a lot longer.
Cheers :beer:beer
very noice man
now you can finally enjoy it..
excellent work..
hopefully see it at valla then..
cheers paul

awsome Rich! :bounce:bounce
give richard a call he wanted to see when your goin to the dyno next.
exceedingly tasty.
you certainly didn't stint on the mechanicals. mmmmm 915 with quaife mmmmmm
are you running a macstrut front end or a custom double wishbone? either way i'd love to see some pics if you have some.
Fiber-glass nose section? Is that how you've got the earlier look front on a mcpherson pan?
Some serious kit mate sounds awesome!
Looks good - now what's it go like?!
At last-good to see you got there-well done.A couple I took at the last VW show.
Thanks nbTurbo,
No its not a fibregalss front the whole shell is a 69 beetle from front beaver to rear deck.
Cheers Alex Ive spoken to your dad he"s got some different emulsion tubes he brought back from the us to send me then we"ll take it to the dyno very
soon. Not sure how it goes yet on the track, ive only taken it to the dyno to bed in ,I know it does 237 kmh @ 6900 rpm in fifth. Also awaiting on some
slicks from hoosier b4 taking it out & Im
sure hanging out to take it for a thrash.

Dutchy! did you build this engine? another example of creative and imaginative auto engineering (and maybe accounting too?)Congrats on a fine piece of moving art! Yet another VW to stick it to the rice burners fantastic.
all i can say is thats hot..very nice machine indeed
A beautiful car, and well engineered.
This thread deserves a bump. What a weapon!!!
Keen to know how it travels, been racing yet?? One would think so.
That front end magic sounds interesting too, but no details .
