Looks awesome - can't wait to see some more pics and get some info regarding brake setup, engine (can't make out if it is type IV or I) - looks like a pretty serious machine! :o

dutchy - March 5th, 2006 at 11:42 AM

Thanks Fellas
Will post some more pics soon,
The shell is a 69 with a 72 mcpherson floorpan
porsche 915 5 speed with quaffe diff
2.3 type 4 ,50x40 valves,solid cam,twin ida"s,autocraft dry sump
system,daul master cylinder brakes w/adj bias,hydraulic clutch,all
braided, rear calipers golf vr6 & late type 3 up front & carbon pads
trying this brake combo to start with to keep weight down, have
some 4 spots ready to go but the car is very light & masive brakes
would prove pointless except look pretty, all oil & feul lines braided
w/anodosed fittings, underneath is painted almost as good as outside,
all panels fibreglass except doors, acrylic windows, front gaurds I hand made to compensate for longer wheelbase of floorpan, could go on a lot longer. Cheers :beer:beer

Fiber-glass nose section? Is that how you've got the earlier look front on a mcpherson pan?

Some serious kit mate sounds awesome!

matberry - January 17th, 2010 at 04:48 PM

This thread deserves a bump. What a weapon!!!

Keen to know how it travels, been racing yet?? One would think so.

That front end magic sounds interesting too, but no details :(.
