I’ve finally got some paint on my new oval I am doing the Ampol re-run in. The rally starts on the 23 of April so I still have lost to do but I can
see light at the end of the tunnel. If any ones interested there is more info on the run at http://www.rerun.pccv.org/

just another pic
COOOOOOOL
hehe crazy
Rallying is awesome, it would be so fun in a Beetle!
I used to co-drive in rally cars but had to yell at the scenery too many times.... :P
Have fun in that Oval! :thumb
woot! finally something different on the old ovals! have fun and good luck in the rally. drive safe!
nice style. Great to see somthing a little different.
Good one Wombat
Is it going to remain stock-ish,or is it going to be ball-tearer?
Any other details?
I am building it to fit in an under 1500 modified class. Staring with Aluminium case, Pobjoy crank, cam and sump, twin port heads with Subaru valves and 40 DCN carbie. Not going to over board the rally is over 10,000 km so it has to make it to the end. The only big change is in the brakes which are billet 5 bolt hubs disc bolted to them. Wanted to keep it looking standard.
thats great. more picks of the build up (and rally) are required.
:]
I was supposed to have the car to the engineers tomorrow, but still not finished. Why is it that things always take twice as long as you think? The gauges are stuck in customs and now I have to much lift on the valves and am getting coil binding. O-well I still have 3 weeks, I’m shore it can’t take long than that. Here is a map of the trial.
As you can see I have not got to far but it is now wired and has a head lining.
