bug eyed with wide eyed fenders:
Bug eyed with wide eyed fenders, and spotties:
this is my prob however:
Look how untidy it is. the wide eyed guards don't fit cause of the lip in the nose for the bug eyed lights. Is there an easy option to tidying this
up :S?
(Note the front barwork was just put up with bricks to see it. not how the finished look will look like, Haha)
another view of the "untidiness"
bump
have a look at some photos of boof chris
u need to trim the section of the wide eye guards under the headlight buckets
why not mount larger driving lights ontop of the bug eyed fenders? i think it would look rod/baja like without any messy fender issues and hang some
aftermarket blinkers off the front of the fender maybe?
nick
like all the spotties though on the bugeye nose!
i thought of that once bond.
too high to be legal
and the guards would flex and crack under the wieght.
Our vote is for the bug eye with bug eye fenders with headlights mounted on the front bumper bar provided that it is at the right height and the
headlights are inside the line of the bumper bar.
We were told using the bug eye headlights in Queensland is illegal, but they can be used as spotlight mounts with no probems, so therefore you need to
mount new headlights somehow.
Using the bug eye guards and mounting the headlights off the bumper bar will give it a Hot Rod look and of course look great.

get a big sanding disk, a black marker and a mask and go for it, sand out the touching areas until its flush. or if you can get it to bolt up as is get some foam that wont be eaten by f/glass, wedge it in the gaps, sand it to shape then glass over to get the right curve ans extention for the guards to the body.
It wouldn't be that much work to re-fibreglass your bug eyed, plus it would be much better looking after you paint it.
-Staggers.
Wide eye guards on a bug eye nose just looks baaaaaad
the easiest option will be then to use the bug eyed.
Mount on some headlights on the barwork, HOT ROD look, (cheers marc )
will be fun.
my opinion....i always thought the fiberglass racing tilt frontend would be cool with a baja rearend...just to be different. :thumb
That's a strange looking bugeye front. I've never seen one with the headlights so far apart. I may be able to get hold of a slightly different bug
eye front if you're interested. It doesn't bulge out where the headlights mount.
I will ask about it anyways. It might save a bit of messing around.
yeah. some think that the headlights may be legal that separated.
apparently its a minimum of 60cms apart from centres. its 64.5cm :P need more confirmation though.
Ring DOT or an engineer who knows about ADR's relating to headlights, they should be able to verify what spacing you will need.
-Staggers.
think they would want money for a phone question?
Are you serious?
-Staggers.
last time i sent em an email, and no luck.
I pick number one.
They should answer your question over the phone.
Surely there's details like that on the DOT website.
i pick number one also...but ummmm how bout the wider fenders?
