my kombi is gonna get done by a guy in melbourne i met via unitylowrider forum!!! mines gonna be all gangster/hommie stuff!!! cant wait to get it done.
it isnt hard to do just so long as i get it all masked up the way u like it then its just a matter of applying the paint!!! u can buy minny compressors and airguns etc at hobbie shops etc!
cheers
rhys
p.s. i would love to learn but boy u need patience!!

kustomkool - April 15th, 2003 at 10:49 PM

Airbrushing unlike other art forms is really quite basic.there is 10 strock formulas involved that anyone can learn.if anyone wants there cars flamed pin stripped or airbrushed please email theoildrippers@hotmail.com
Flames came out neat and clean..

manxed69 - April 15th, 2003 at 10:52 PM

airbrushing is easy, i did 3 to 4 years worth at highschool got pretty good in the end but havent done it since although im starting to get back into it now just about ready to buy a new setup. really its all about the masking shit off!

BUG11Y - April 20th, 2003 at 08:05 PM

depends on what offers i get...

68AutoBug - April 21st, 2003 at 11:37 PM

Very good job... Did You do it?? My Son is a Spray Painter and does that sort of thing. He was offered full time work at the last Nambucca (in QLD & Vic)
But likes living in the Country... If You run Your hand over the flames, and don't feel them... thats Professionalism.. Personally, I don't care if You can feel them or not.... Nice Paint Job though..
and a very nice looking Individualistic Buggy... How about a rear view of the Buggy? I just want to see the engine & tail lamps....

Boys - How about We leave the Coarse Language off the forum please.. I don't care what You send to Your Mates... but Please leave it off the forum... People of All ages read this forum - Male & Female... I don't like Coarse Language ... If You have a Foul Mouth .. Keep it shut ... this last item is NOT aimed at BUG11Y..

I did it with the help of two friends, Its not really that hard to do flames yourself or with sum help...It's easiers to leave the clear coat to the proffesionals you should get a better finish

BUG11Y - April 22nd, 2003 at 07:50 PM

I started prushing paint onto the fire wall of the Dog-O-War (71 Baja) the other weekend and my neighbour saw me. Said he knew an easier way and was back 10mins later - stayed for 6 hours and fully airburshed a litre of black under the rear third of the car including the motor (on the kennel), transaxle, pan and shocks. Eventually we ran out of paint and he went home just on dark. Awesome stuff.

Next were going to do the whole car - what colour I just dont know?
