Thought you guys might like to see my family`s new holiday home!
Some of you may have already seen this bus before but for those who haven`t, it`s a `72 Campmobile with only 36000 miles on the clock.
It was stored in 1982 after the guy who owned it died. His wife could`nt bring herself to sell it until 2002 when she sold it to Richard Newbury from
here in Adelaide.
Well I`ve jut finished travelling around OZ for a while and after selling our caravan we decided instead of buying a camper trailer as we first
planned that we would buy this Kombi as we had heard that it was for sale.
It is probably the most money that a Bay has changed hands for in recent time but for a few grand less than we were gonna spend on some Jayco piece of
crap camper trailer we got a real piece of history that will appreciate in time and not depreciate!
It comes with the original bill of sale which states the original accessories ordered with the Bus, service history and all the original handbooks.
It`s quite amazing and will stay that way. We are going to build a single car "Kennel"for it where it will stay under wraps and be used once or
twice a year for family hols. But believe me, the kids will have to take thier shoes off before they start climbing around in there!!!

Hail to the bus driver!
Great looking bay there mate
Matt
mate you get what you pay for and you say it cost a fair crack, but what a bus!! mint bays are real hard to find and you got a great example.
yep. congrats, that is one hellava Campmobile
good onya ... nice to see someone happy to part with lotsa to get something this cool. Worth every cent, what a time machine.
That is awesome. Nothing beats an original car, so much caracter.:thumb
Nice , love the venetians , Rare too. Would usually suggest mags and a severe lowering job.... just lower it ,severely.

Thanks for the replys guys!
boristherat, yeah, you`ll see it at the shows I`m sure.
Kai, I still got the CrewCab. It`s my daily driver although it`s currently stored under a tarp until I get backfrom the UK. I`m gonna take it off the
road when my `59 Rat Split Camper is on the road and restore it to it`s former (but lower) self, doing that it`s original green colour, it`s blue at
the moment but was like a pale (Birch?) green.
empi, you`re kiddin right?!! I know I`ve lowered every car I`ve ever owned and a few other people`s, but man, I`m even scared to wash it in case
something goes wrong!!!!
Heath, yeah I know it was very special to Richard but next time you see him, tell him it`s gonna stay just the way it is. Man this really is a
timewarp, museum piece etc etc. I aint gonna spoil that! It`s even got the original "VW Genuine Parts" fire extinguisher!!!
Thanks
Graham.
