Well after doing a heap of VW's, I felt it was time for a change (don't worry still plenty of dubs kickin around).

Ive been folowing the Mini truck scene for a long time now, and finally decided it was time to have one.

Picked up this '85 extra cab hilux a couple weeks ago, the paints a bit shagged but its straight and a good runner...




Stripped it down, filled a heap of holes, debadged and sprayed her satin black, Lowered it 2 1/2 inches all round and fitted some 16in wheels....



This week I made a custom grill using pre '60 beetle overiders, and some clear indicator lenses....



Future plans include dropping the back another 3inches, front another 1, some old school pinstriping and flames, 15in wheels, white walls and moon caps.

I got some 4x4 front guards, but decided I like the shape of the 2wd ones better.

Haha, that front grill actually looks sweet! I read it before the picture showed up and thought 'oh no'... but I have to say well done!
I'm not usually a fan of these cars lowered and stuff, but this one will look cool with pinstriping. :P

Well I did just pick up a NOS heart taillight lense. ha ha ha.
I'm actually thinking about getting some '59 Caddilac tail lights for it.
