just worked out how to post pics how do I add more 3 the limit.
three per post is the limit, unless the pics are hosted on another site like "photobucket".
photobucket is free and you can make the pics a lil bigger, easy to use.
big project ahead of you, all the best with it.

L 300 front end channelled 40mm higher comes with vented front disc set ,also allows me 7" wheels and I can comlpy with mitsh front track.
Tying to negotiate a price on the nsx front brakes .
The body might have all the channels removed ,hidden door hinges and a metal bead on the guards similar to hot rods .
Wheels 18,s rear 17,s front Enki make rims with the right offset & 6.5kgs .

Thanks Turbo54 for helping me post the pics .
Awesome stuff - looking forward to how you fabricate the necessary support structures on the pan. Kudos for diving into such a big task!
yipes! sounds like an interesting build indeed. good luck
I have done some far out things in my time
but never looked at cutting in a L300 front end
Mate you need your head read !
seagull
That`s the shit!
Awesome mate!
This is going to be interesting.....
pick up the front calipers today
Honda NSX twin piston to match the rear
now,how to get the abs to work.

it helps me out with front track issues and with the wheel size on the front. The next thing is to work out what r&p to use.
cool...........start working on it mate....
made the jig so I can remove the orignal torsion tube & pivot points and weld in the 944 rear torsion tube 60mm higher .Will be removing the front
hammer head to and set up the L300 front end
Wow looks like a hole heap of coolness going on ere cant wait to see it un ravel.
empi
God damn!.... Your one crazy mofo for this project!....More power to you man.... I'd realy be interested to see how you tie this lot together.... Really wild stuff....
Nice shed.. must be rough!
This will be good to watch.
MAD MAD plick:P:thumb....Looking forward to seeing more pics.
these are the end brackets to suport the new torsion bar 60mm higher & hold in place when welding
you can see the new mounting holes 60mm higher
end bracket bolted to the 944 torsion beam
I,l lmake a bracket to hold the gearbox horns
I found the end holes arn,t 90 degrees to the tunnel
[ Edited on 12-7-2006 by malcolm ]
because of the welding ,this should hold things in place
old torsion beam
I noticed on the inside some of the spot weld had come apart
that hold the horns together this has happened with age can cause axle hop I,ve been told .
Anyone can have the pivot points if they want I also have the irs arms and a pair of 944 torsion bars $50 for the later.
Looking good..... Is there a track difference between the torsion housings?.... I know there is when 944 bits are bolted up to the VW torsion housing.... So I was wondering if the 944 housing was narrower.....
the same even the bolts line up the steal irs arms are the same as vdub, longer stub axles and larger drive flange .With this mod I can comply with the porsche track and wheel sizes.
this looks like an impressive car in the making.
now a dumb question... an L300 front end? is this out of a L300 van or something completely different?
what are the benefits of this front end over something else out of a modern car? how good or tunable is the geometry?
thanks.
henry.
yes out of a L300 van.cost cheap .very good geometry not as heavy as holden front end .you can get brake up grade kits for it some rodders use it.I can comply with vic road adrs ie legally run 7" wide wheels and comply with L300 front track but I will be narrowing it .I could have looked at Fiat 124 cc sports front end .May run honda NSX alloy stub axles .
cool, thanks a lot for that.
i seemed an odd choice as i wouldn't have thought it would have good geometry, but with that and all the other benefits it makes a lot of sense.
henry.
its moved back 75mm ,need to work out the height where it sit now the gearbox forks are lower than the box +/-5mm.
anyone with height ideas.
