First pics of the first DSR set on a Type1 Karmann Ghia in the world and first and only set in Oz. These are not the supposed original crappy American set, these are the German made set, individually numbered and your name cast on the wheels, production of the wheel is about to end shortly/all sold. Trial fitment of the 165/50/15 fronts and 205's in the back meant the special order offset worked! Now off to the talented 'Deluxe' team! This is for the Aussie V-Dub scene!
Nice one Al. Leading by example. Are they 15"'s. They look bigger.
The centres are bigger but still 15's which makes it look better than the smaller center diameter of the RDW. No photoshop on the wheels at all...
Cheers,
AL

or your Kubel?
top stuff. i love those wheels. think i saw another set on a bug in an copy of volksworld a while back and wondered whether anyone would get a set sent here.
I'd be puttin chains on those wheels!
They're real cool!!
You just had to take it to the next level didn't you Al?!
They are so sweet and I'm sure I won't be the first to say that I am so jealous!
Looking good Al, cant wait to see the car in the flesh!
Very nice... A lot of jealous people around for sure.. me for one..!!
I'm not the greatest fan of the look of those on the bug there.
but i may say, they are certainly a site to be seen. how very originaland cool.
Thanks everyone, like I said, this is for the Aussie VDub scene:thumb
The engine going in it will be a Swiss made 50's Mag Supercharger, the only one in Oz too!
As found in the garage, privately imported from Switzerland during his honeymoon in 04/56 and removed in 11/56 due to the dusty conditions where the
gentleman lived.

hey sprintstar,
where / who are the 'deluxe' guys?
I live in nth melb and have seen a few of their stickers on various cool rides around here, but havent been able to find a mention of them on the net
(no website?).
I no longer have my type 3, currently driving a 66 xp falcon and would like to know how to track them down if i want to get some work done on it... or
the inevitable next type 3 that i buy.
Anyone that lowers a brown 60s corolla and puts on white walls is my kind of mechanic.
Steve
