After watching this little Bug parked in the owners garage for the last six years, I finally got the ok to take her out for a new life.
With 68,000 miles on the clock, she was parked away to be "fixed up" one day. The owner thought that was about six years ago, but he'd just fitted three new tyres to her, and they're crossplys, so...?
They've owned the car from new, and it has all the books and every service record. They had her painted about 20 years ago. She was originally pale blue, and while the paint was in perfect condition, they just felt like a change.
The paint is now quite flat and faded, but that's the way it will stay.
There's no rust in the pan and just a few spots around her to attend to . Rooflining is perfect except for the area below the back window, the rubber floor mat is perfect, the doors shut perfectly with ease and she's nice and straight all round. Bit of a ding in the front lh guard.
The owners made it very clear her name is and is to remain "Brunhilda."
Thanks to Micromatt from Volkspower for arranging the trailer and all the bits necessary to get her running again.
Got plans for Brunhilda's new life! Hope to have her ready for the "Day of" later this year.

Actually you've nailed it Hertzy. Scraggy 'Ol Minx....yeah! That's exactly what she is. We're talkin BUGBOY 4" narrowed, 5.5 and 4.5 walled RDW's, Betty Lou's (may she rest in piece........pieces) spats and visor, plus a few leeetle tricks.
