Had some time spare today so I decided to do some work on the 54
Swapped the pan over for a perfect 54 pan I had laying around but before that I had to do some work to the beam to get it a little lower.
Started the day at 11amwith this pan
sorted the beam yesterday just to see how low it can go
put the body on at about 2 pm today
got the transaxle and front wheels on at 2:30
seats thanks to sam vwfool
and here she is on the ground at 3:30 today
and with a make shift rack try and guess what it is
can’t wait to get it running and drive the thing
cheers

damn, thats going to be one sweet looking beast! nice work
Man, I can't wait till I can make some progress on my 57, have to get the 63 going first (promised the wife).
Whats the next step? I rekon, put the motor in for testing and then finish it. Motor should always be put in as early (safety considered) as posible
for the sake of fun.
That's looks so hot. The car has so much character with the paint left like that and it looks great minus the running boards.
Good work.
good work mate
Looks monsta low from the perspective of the tyres in the guards, but judging by the shadow, it still looks pretty drivable.. keep up the good
work.
Love the paint.
