Hello everyone,
It's been a while, but the rego's finally transferred and I'm back in the club!
old photo (with my old car that I believe is now crushed), I'm the proud owner of the yellow '76. I don't know what it has, I think 4 nice round
wheels with some tyres, a bit of yellow paint, a steering wheel....
Yes it did belong to Guy (who I work for) as most of you would know, it's a pleasure to drive but I remember it being quicker, which probably means
it's time for a tune-up (hasn't had a tune up for 4 or 5 years)
It's great to be back! :bounce
what happened to the red car? too much rust?
sold one ebay to davidmelaney if remember correctly and parted out.
nice one lams. thats a sweet pickup !
wonder what ever happened to the harding roofrack that used to sit ontop? hehehehehe
see you at a show soon enough no doubt
nick
Nice work Lams - I have driven Louise's old bug way back when and it was a lot of fun. I'm sure you'll be happy with your new purchase! ![]()
That is one sweet beetle!!
good to see you back to the fold lams..
tune up pronto.. do the old girl a favour..:kiss
Thanks guys! The roofrack is sitting in the garage, it's too noisy and leaving it on adds 10-20% to fuel consumption. I'm planning to weld (not me,
I can't weld) some bike fork locks or whatever they're called so I can carry 2 or 3 bikes on them.
I wonder - just how many people have driven this car? :P It is a lot of fun, attracts a lot of attention and the kids at church love it. it sets off
car alarms at shopping centres and it's very tail-happy on rainy days.
I don't really plan to modify it in any way, I added a bluetooth handsfree kit and changed the headunit and rear speakers (thanks brad and Alan for
those). I got a pair of splits for the front and those front speaker kicker plates but don't really know how to install them - can anybody give me an
idea? A sub and an amp would be nice too, seeing this is my bad boy's car
I'm sad about the red car... I feel responsible for the death of a semaphore german bug

Just some recent pics
check out the sea of clouds at Toowoomba one morning!!!
