This morning at 8:15am 'LIVVY' had a head on crash in her beautiful Barbara, a pink 1967 Beetle...
Livvy survived the crash with just a leg injury but her car did not.

Sorry to hear - looks like it was a great little beetle. At least the owner is okay as Volkswagens can be replaced, vw drivers can't!

we seem to be having such a bad run in avd with ppl losing their bugs to crashes....

but at least, so far, all the occupants have been okay.

I have full comp insurance...

The car in front slammed on the brakes and I had someone tailgating me and shit and I hit her car going about 50K's...

I cried for a really long time... how sad is that?

The forklift went underneath, damaged the guards and floorpan.

So sorry to hear about your bug. (My girlfriend was in love with it) Good to hear that you're relatively ok. Good luck with the recovery & hope that it's not too long before you get another VW (if Barbara can't be fixed).

Poor Barbara - I'm glad you are ok though

Good news guys, it's going to get fixed next week, the parts cost a total of $180 - bonnet, front guard, headlight, bumper bar, windscreen wiper, indicator. And the pink glittery paint we got enough to do the entire car again for free from the fella who used to own my car .

That's Great news! Can't wait to see her back in action.

Repairs have started - should get it back in a week or so, the paint job should take the longest amount of time!
