me too it started life as a rebuilt 1776 i purchased off this forum luckily it got pulled down for inspection as nothing was right in the whole motor had to get heaps of machining done and had to go up to new barrels and pistons because the case spigot hole was the wrong diameter talk about a crash course in vw motor building it also had the wrong crank ,wrong bearings heads were f#cked you live you learn i will only be getting motors built from scratch from now on come round one night man you know where i am

I was told that the pre heat flanges on that extractor muffler your installing are not drilled out so you can cut them off :thumb
