Not another skyline driver...
urban_myth - October 30th, 2006 at 11:46 PM

Well, picked it up last wednesday and I must say I have never driven anything quite like it. Has stacks of grunt, love the low slung seating position and the classy 2 door profile, comfy enough for long trips with climate control a/c and power steering. Its a nice break to the rough riding 63' bug I was driving.

Its a 1997 R33 gts-t, 71000 kms on it.

Normally see those things wrapped around trees or powerpoles.

BE CAREFUL

i thought harsher laws existed in japan for cars over 70k, and it being more cost effective to replace then keep - they are shipped here to oz....

i must say my mom inlaw had a r33 gts and i loved driving it , but not seen driving it

twoguns - October 31st, 2006 at 08:06 PM

haha. thats why i am slowly working on the condor... besides a black gtst blends well in dark stormy clouds.

ahh the old skyline, got a mate with an r32 gtst work pretty hard, gets 217 kw at the tyres with 50 degree intake temps lol and we did all the work on that ourselves. another mate has an r33, dunno how much power but we did the front mount intercooler on that and also got the boost up there. can say though a full exhaust, 3 inch turbo back and a front mount makes the most difference. i would recommend it. and make sure you either disconnect or solid earth the boost solenoid if going for higher than stock boost. otherwise you still get that silly, low boost till 4500 rpm then you get the rest hahaha. thats my 2 bob anyway

I'm looking to keep it pretty stock at the moment, i'm still getting used to the power.

One of my fav cars is the R32 GTR!

good idea Jason, does it have coilover suspension or anything? It seems that like 'cool' said, they all have 70k kms and coilover suspensino which costs about 3000 new in japan.:thumb

Seagull

1990 , hmm so r32 possibly abour 18 22 last time i looked but if you get it imported under the last few that can since they changed the rules i have seen them go for as little as 12500 to 13500 they are the toughest sounding cars i have heard. on full revs its like a plane more than i car.
