ok, so what do you do with the wreck of a splitty? the fronts gone, the middle has been on fire pretty bad, and the rear arches have been robbed, so
have all the doors etc, theres not a lot left. well i could chop it up for spares, but i wanted something different! so i made it into a bar!
a repaired the body work but not to concours cos i wanted it to look used, like it was not some plastic copy thing. so the dings and dents stayed.
the engine bay was boxed out, theres a flouro light in there so i can look for stuff when its dark. i made an engine lid from some MDF, and in the
back i lined it and painted it an off white, there are a couple of spotties in there to brighten things when its dark! theres some more work to do,
but thats for a rainy day!!
this stupid thing wont let me post any more pics, advice needed!!
nice one mate... use http://www.tinypic.com or email the pics to me, ill post em for you.. forbes@sperrwolf.com
come on... i want to see photos of this bar!..
bar ride
please note, its not finished, thereare a few things i need to do, "working" rear lights, back drop inside,
mirror windows, or pictures on the sides, glasses racks in the roof and the bar butler needs filling!!
not bad but it needs a font
wine rack in the engine bay would be sweet.
bay bus, i was thinking about a small fridge, i havn't seen any with doors that open up,
and i dont think it will be a good idea to turn a fridge on its side!!
but the wine rack is a great idea!! the sun wont get to the bottles either!
i was also thinking of fixing a series of spikes or bars round the gutter so i can put the stubby holders there!
any other ideas? i'd appreciate it. barls, i'm not fitting a front, that would stick out half way across the bedroom!
looks the goods for sure, def fit a top mount beer font, flooded one, have a chest freezer fitted under converted to a fridge cooling a few kegs and some glycol.... mmmmm
