Peach gets new interior
kombikim - November 10th, 2006 at 08:30 AM

one of the main reasons nobody wanted to buy this fantastic car was the interior 16 months later (just lucky I guess) I have managed to get this interior from Melbourne, which was taken out of a car & stored in about 1970, I have done a lot of stitching, & a fair bit to go, but wow-happy chappy
photos are before & after of course

Excellent stuff Kim

have to see it in the flesh soon

hellbugged - November 11th, 2006 at 10:50 PM

he hee, i always liked the interior, but could never get past the colour.... mind you, the first time i took "peaches" for a spin, a young lady i stopped for at a zebra crossing went weak at the knees, so the colour has it's advantages too :D.....

That looks great Kim. I can't believe you did a 24 hour blat there and back. Well done...I think.

kombikim - November 12th, 2006 at 12:23 AM

hey Paul, I am in constant competition to keep up with your car, yeah 23 hour round trip to Melbourne including stops & fitting seats isnt bad, I did it with one arm too, my right arm is in a sling from a shoulder reconstruction :P it is fun to do impossible things, I think...........
this is what th front ones looked like before a week of stitching & cleaning

Hi !Kim ,I owned your car when she was very standed ,I bought it from a vw surffy guy (gary) on the Gold Coast.
Then Brad heard I had a Clean oval from Volks-restore that I might sell.
Brad bought it and set out to build a very fine resto bug.
Couple photo's for you and rest to enjoy.Good to see the car giving someone more enjoyment
