well i thought it about time to share where im at with this car. She's not finished yet but im happy with how she is progresssing. its so good to see
something ive had in my head for the past few years start to take shape. some might call me 'full of myself" but u know ur on the right track when u
cant stop looking at ur car and thinking, thats the hottest thing ive ever seen hahaha...
1954 Oval.
6V/36hp.
Original Paint.
Original Interior.
8 Inch narrowed "TLC" Beam.
Notched Adjustable Springplates.
135/145 Michelin XZXs.
Original patina Empi Sprintstars.
5.00am. With almost 24 hours spent under the car preparing it for the 1000km trip to Melbourne and 2 hours sleep, we realise the tires are rubbing the
headlight buckets and we havent even adjusted the front beam to its lowest setting yet. Im absolutely broken.
Miraculously after fitting the 135s to the 5.5 inch sprints the offset was perfect and they cleared the headlight buckets beautifully. We set off for
DOVW a day late but our 2000km road test went perfectly except a minor drama with the coil and the dizzy. Car drives and handles better than stock and
looks nuts. I love it. Cant wait to wind down that front beam and spring plates and get it really on its guts.

Congrats It is a real standout car now, you have done an awful lot in a short time, all you need now is something a bit more period as far as rope
goes to tie down bonnet,
spose before I come to Euroday I will have to arrange to leave Peach with Inghams chickens for a week

I saw you some time ago (already sporting the vwfool plates) driving/stopping/running into cafecito in Randwick. I was zooming past on my pushbike and
was about to stop and say hello but you seemed to really want that cafeine. Next time.
ah i remember that, a few months ago the Oval was being used in a short film and i had to meet the director at the cafe and take it out to the
location that afternoon for the next days shooting. do u live in the area octo?
dont be frightened kids, the white smoke billowing from my car is just movie tricks!

I was always anticipating seeing your oval after it's metamorphosis of being slammed when you were to come down to DOTVW, but it was even better when
I saw it in the flesh.. What an epic you went through to get here mate, but I was stoked you managed through thick and thin..
