This photos a few years old now - I restored the old girl 10 years ago but she's held up really well... ok all I really did was open my wallet a lot and Mick and Ingred from the Australian VW Performance Center in Melbourne did the hard yards.

Now a little rust begining to bubble behind the paint above to roof gutters (but dont they all!). Its a daily driver. I put a bra on the car for long trips and so the front stays nice (photo shows removed number plate to get the bra off!).

Powerplant is a 1776. Mild cam ruuning dual Dellorto 36's

Thanks for the comments. Sometimes I think of selling the old girl ... but as nice squares become rarer each year the least I can do for the species is to keep this one alive and shiny
