Here's a shot of the interior. We have had the seat springs in the drivers seat fixed since this shot. It was way too bouncey after lowing. It is still quiet bouncey over pot holes, but much better.

schweet !!!

jh68 - September 11th, 2007 at 09:59 PM

...the "bouncy" wasn't that quiet!! I mean quite!

:blush

Thanks for the comments - we are very happy with how it is turning out.

Adsman - September 11th, 2007 at 10:01 PM

very nice

bugeyedbabe - September 12th, 2007 at 08:06 AM

very nice indeed

and i love bouncy bouncy...its the whole reason for driving the dubs :bounce

best part is hitting bumps with kids in the back...they dont like bouncy bouncy so much...cause for them its more OUCHY!

hehe

we have had the front beam narrowed (2 inches) with drop spindles by the Debiasi's. Can't believe the difference in ride and love the way it sits. Many thanks Peter and Adam. Lovin it!

Looks very sweet on the road 68 to 70 s are cool and often over looked for early beetles but give me 12 volts and ball joints and disc brakes any day.

oldskl60 - August 19th, 2008 at 09:33 PM

jh68 - awesome ride. Perfect combination - alloys, stance & colour!! IMHO

jh68 - August 20th, 2008 at 09:13 PM

Thanks '60 - It drove past me in the car park at Bunnings with a for sale sign on it nearly two years ago and I knew I had to have it and I knew what had to be done to it.

I'm very happy with how its turning out.

Couldn't agree more!!! If I ever was to get a beetle it would be 68 to 70 model.

Love the look of this car a lot. Well done.

Turbo54 - October 29th, 2008 at 08:38 AM

Well done on a simple but effective build. Exactly the way I like them done or not overdone if you know what I mean.
Can't wait to see it in the flesh.
