Well this girl has been in the works since 1995. I am owner number 3 and have the great job of finishing her off. I've had it since oct 07 and have
enjoyed my time this far.
I hope you enjoy the picks, this will put me where im upto. I still have big plans on finishing off.
Now keep in mind the first set of shots are not digital, yes they are standard film!! i know, hard to believe, but this was started in 95'!
Enjoy, i will post over the next day or so

Ha!
yep, don't know that bloke but he looks like he may be over excited about the paint job!
sensational!
mate - wouldnt suprise me if mine took +13yrs too...... maybe i should aim for warwick 2020 lol
nick
Cheers Nick, i wish i could say it was all me, but im owner 3 to finish it! Got some goodies coming though!
More pics to come
Carbies (dual weber 44idf's SPAIN MADE!!!) are here and ready to be bolted on. Can't wait to heat her purr, though not sure if its gonna have enough
go for me.
These are 8inch on the rear, not sure if there legal yet???
had a look at this car today..................VERY NICE !
Thanks Craig, cheers again for your info!
Wiring this beast has been good fun. Its a mix between a 68 and 71 model wiring diagram, but using a 58 wiring loom!! Good fun indeed. So far so good.
Once my headlights get here i shall see the efforts in action. I've never been so excited by tail lights before once i got a battery in to test and
check voltages!!!
Noice! What's with the holes in the forward part of the sills - is that to 'get at' the large pan retaining bolts?
Looks very nice.
I like the angle on the of the shot on your message icon.
Full rebuilds are a hell of a lot of work. But that is how you do it properly.
Will we see a debut at the BugIn?
CT
Cheers CT, BugIn...i wish, i read through Dasdubbers thread the other day to get some info on the cup 3 wheels, and his build started in may/june and
he'd hoped to get it finished by christmas!
I'm trying not to be to optimistic otherwise i may get impatient. These things snowballs, and the pocket runs short.
Just ordered some 911 lights for this puppy and some S/S bumpers. It all hits the pocket!
I must say i do love the icon shot, looks phat!
Your pan looks just like mine:
Konis on the front
KYBs on the back
Polished Fuchs
1916
44IDF
IRS
Front disks
T3 Rear drums
Whiteline bars
And I've got photos to prove it!
Gee, next you'll be telling me you have some spare cookie cutter wheels with race tyres!
Those are all tried and true items.
CT
Ha! yep. Hey CT, i did have some cookie cutters!! no slicks though...sold them about 2mnths ago, they were my spares
I don't think ill get a 14s run out of my 1916 though. My day though, once the money catches up.
Well just a bit of an update, took her for an outing to get a few things done
It was time to get the front end dropped, so i got the beam narrowed 2inches and got two new adjusters installed. Supposedly only having one adjuster
is illegal? Let alone the stiffer ride which im not really after.
To really get the suspension feeling right i got some dropped spindles installed (the chrome spindles i had are in the for sale section). The car
looks good dropped, but its mayeb too low. Theres no engine in the back at the moment so it may pop up a little once i get it back in.
I also got two new front callipers and a new master cyclinder installed. My advice is do not leave your brake system sitting around empty for too
long. The rubbers in the M/C had eaten away and wouldn't hold prime.
I am curious though as to brake upgrades people have done and if the larger you go the quicker it locks up. I undertand there is a relationship
between brake fade and temp and so on, but if you go bigger, do the front wheels lock up easier. (Depending on foot pressure etc)
mick.
firstly - there is no such thing as too low.
secondly - that colour looks awesome!
keep the pics coming.
nick
Nice one Mick - looks great....as nick says, more pics please!
